The chapter talks about in the beginning of the year for a week or so you should let students sit where they want to feel comfortable. After that you should know who is best to sit where and who by. This can allow you to move just the few by assigning them special jobs that make them move to better spot all the way around. You could also do groups rotating often and keeping the ones that need to be separated, separated.
